Help Us Stay Open Through 2025
After moving into our new space in 2022, we aspired to unite our literary arts programs under one roof by 2025. Unfortunately, book sales have declined and we lost instrumental grant funding, now we are just trying to stay open.
Through community-based partnerships and collaborations over the last eight years, we’ve planted books as seeds and watched them grow from mobile book cart to store front. We intersect values found in the literary and contemporary arts with community engagement and social practice. As nourishment, we currently have three spaces: LibroMobile, Crear Studio and a hybrid Barrio Writers program for youth. The next step in our growth and movement should be to enhance our presence in the region by obtaining a space to nurture and establish as a brick-and mortar museum and cultural center for-and-by the BIPOC community in Orange County. But instead, we are struggling to stay open.
Will you join us?
Be a part of a new movement, a cause to prioritize local BIPOC in the arts. The past few years have demonstrated how meaningful literarature & the arts are in our diverse community.

As LMAC, we are currently making efforts to share with you how our business and non-profit community efforts work hand-in-hand. Through our fiscal agent partnerships and as a hybrid non-profit organization (NPO), we provide FREE arts programming via our collaborative projects: Barrio Writers, LibroMobile and Crear Studio. Until then, feel free to ask for programming details and funding information, they are provided upon request, just email us!
Are we a non-profit? Yes and no, we are a hybrid NPO that functions as self-sustaining community model with a non-profit fiscal agents/sponsors: Red Salmon Arts in Texas and MA Series Arts in California for local grants. So, yes, we can provide tax receipts. Just ask us for one, click here.
As a self-sustaining community model, LibroMobile is comprised of several volunteers and contracted local artists and youth. We use profits to pay contracted youth and emerging artists and provide stipends to guest writers and local artists, always prioritizing local artists of color. For more information, read Our Story.
